Two Hop Hops
My son clutched his fuzzy white bunny as we prepared to go out the door. He glanced up on the deep freeze and there found his other bunny, (his garden bunny) watching him.
"Two Hop hop, Mom, two Hop hop!" he told me excitedly.
"Yes, two bunnies! Good job, Jasper!" I replied.
Why was his garden bunny on the freezer instead of still sitting and guarding the winter garden? I think it had something to do with playing in the yard on a certain Sunday morning and then clamoring into the van for church, garden bunny and all.
This bunny is pretty special to him. We were visiting our neighbor and he couldn't get enough of her garden bunnies. He tried to lug them around and they were much to big for him. Several days later, our sweet neighbor stopped by with a new little garden bunny just for Jasper. It's hard to believe it's still in one piece, the amount of adventures it's gone on with the children. I think going to church was its biggest one yet.
In an effort to clean out the van, I grabbed the bunny and it got as far as the freezer before I needed to get Gracia out of her car seat. There it has sat all week, watching our busy family coming and going. It acquired the head band half way through the week for similar reasons as he landed there himself.
Last Sunday evening we heard a song about a bunny on our car ride. Little Bunny Foo Foo was a naughty bunny. He hopped through the fields and bopped all of the poor little field mice on the head. The good fairy decided to make things right. "I'll give you three chances, and if you don't stop, I'll turn you into a goon!" The morale of the story is, "Hare today, goon tomorrow."
This bunny must be a pretty good little bunny. Never once have I seen it bopping anyone on the head and so bunny it remains, cracked and loved. I wonder what stories he could tell?
Oh , this is so precious. Thanks for sharing. I do remember how he was drawn to the Bunnies Ihave.
