There Is a GOD!

I want to tell you a true story that lots of you have heard and some of you might not have.  It is about a God.  There is a God.  There was a God.  There always will be a God.  This God is the Beginning and the Ending.  He created everything with His voice.
Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

I love to imagine Him planning it all... from the mountains and seas to the complex cells in every living creature.  He thought this all up because He created imagination as well as everything else.  God created everything in six days.  The seventh day He rested.  The whole universe which is crazy Huge and the little tiny planet we call Earth.  On this earth He also placed something else, something that could think and imagine and was in His image.
Genesis 1:27 So God created mankind in His own image, in the image of God He created them; male and female He created them.

These people are just small little pieces of dust in God's viewpoint.  I'm not saying that's the way He looks at us it is just Him compared to us.  He could just ignore us.  He could lean back and watch us little dust specks and laugh at our fumblings.  But He doesn't.  He sees every sparrow fall.
Matthew 10
29 Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father.30 But the very hairs of your head are all numbered.31 Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows.

So if He sees every sparrow fall, He sees when we are happy or sad or running around like madmen or when we are at peace.  I want to look at this perspective.  Think about a God and our Creator watching us; caring for us.  He watched us sin over and over again.  He spoke to His prophets messages for His people.  Finally He did something way above our heads.  He sent His only Son to the very earth He had created to live with the people who turned from Him.  He loved us so much that He sacrificed His Son's life for us.

John 3:16   For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

God's Son became fully human and died for our sins.  Because of Jesus we can live a life for God.  Jesus gave us the option to ask Him to forgive us for our sins.  He gave His life in exchange for our freedom from sin.  So I don't know how you view God, but when we look at Him and His greatness and power and love we can fully realize who we are and what we were created for.  A living sacrifice for the One who set us free.

Romans 12:1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
