Every-Day Blessings

 This morning (like a lot of mornings I guess) I was not in the best of moods.  On the way to school I looked around at the gray sky, wondering how I should cheer up.  Soon, I noticed off the road a ways, there was a beautiful spot of field and a house that the sun was shining on.  It seemed to glow and have such vivid color over there. I wondered if the people who lived there realized how blessed they were to have a spot of sunlight on them.  The clouds moved a bit more allowing the sun to make its way to my car.  Everything seemed so bright against the gray sky. I was in awe...
  God really knows the best ways to cheer someone up!  Soon the sun hid behind a cloud again, but I had felt God's love in a real way.  He wants us to notice all these little things.  He doesn't give us little gifts because He is too frugal to give us big gifts, He does it so that we have to look for them in order to find them. 
  It might be a little girl peeking up at you with a huge grin.  It might be a stranger turning into a friend.  It might be a chipmunk running in front of you as you step out the door.  Whatever it is, we should learn to appreciate it.
